Winter/Spring Training Focus
The main training focus for our runners over the winter and early spring is the Carmel Full and Half Marathon on April 9th, 2022. With that date in mind, we will spend the remainder of the fall and early winter maintaining some fitness and laying down some base miles. We will still continue our two evening runs on Tueadsy and Thursday and the long run on Saturday. Some of the long runs will be on the streets around Broad Ripple and some will be on the trails in Marott and Holiday Parks. The training group will enter an official training campaign around the start of the New Year and have a periodized build to Carmel. During the campaign, the long run time will grow and as the event gets closer and the footing gets better, we will increase the ammount of harder running.
